Hardwood Floor Installation in Kansas City

New hardwood, installed dead level and built to last decades.

The Work

New hardwood, installed dead level and built to last decades.

Good hardwood is beautiful, durable, and easy to live with, but only when it is installed right. A floor laid over a bad subfloor or rushed at the seams will cup, gap, and squeak within a year. Our installers prep the subfloor, set proper expansion gaps, and lay every board with the kind of patience the job actually takes. We install raw, pre-finished, engineered, and laminate, and we hang plastic to keep the dust down while we work.

What's Included

What You Get With Installation

Subfloor prep and leveling

We check moisture, flatten high spots, and shore up any soft subfloor before a single board goes down.

Dustless installation setup

Plastic containment and vacuum-assisted tools keep the rest of your home livable while we install.

Flush vents and lace-ins

Floor registers set flush and existing floors woven into new runs so the transitions disappear.

Material options

Raw, pre-finished, engineered, or laminate in oak, hickory, walnut, and more.

Why It Matters

A hardwood floor is a 30-year investment. The difference between a floor that looks new in a decade and one that fails early is almost always the prep and the patience at install. That is the part we refuse to shortcut.

Good to Know

Hardwood Floor Installation: Common Questions

Most residential installs run 2 to 5 days depending on square footage, layout, and whether we are finishing on site. We give you a firm timeline in your written quote.

Solid wood can be refinished more times and suits most main floors. Engineered is more stable over concrete or below grade. We walk your space and recommend the right one for each room.

Sometimes, but it depends on the subfloor and the finished height. We check before quoting so there are no surprises.
